Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most from prospective franchise owners.

Getting Started

How much does it cost to open a Freedom Tires franchise?
The total initial investment ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. This covers your fully equipped mobile trailer, equipment, consumable supplies, training, launch marketing materials, and initial operating capital.
Do I need tire industry experience?
No. Before you arrive at headquarters, you'll receive access to our comprehensive video training catalog to study at your own pace. Then our 10-day hands-on training program covers everything from tire mounting to business operations. What we look for is mechanical aptitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to build something of your own.
What territory will I get?
Each franchisee receives an exclusive territory based on population density and market potential. Territory boundaries are defined before you sign so there's no ambiguity.
How long does the process take from application to launch?
Typically 60-90 days from approved application to your first day of service. This includes trailer build-out, equipment installation, and your 10-day training program.

Operations

What equipment is included?
Your franchise includes a fully equipped mobile trailer with a professional tire changer, computer spin balancer, torque tools, TPMS diagnostic equipment, and air compressor.
How do I get tire inventory?
We've established vendor relationships with all major tire distributors. You'll have access to wholesale pricing and can order tires for next-day delivery in most areas.
What hours will I work?
You set your own schedule. Most operators work Monday through Friday with Saturday availability. The flexibility to schedule around your life is one of the biggest advantages of this model.
Can I hire employees or is this owner-operator only?
You can absolutely hire employees as your business grows. Many franchisees start as owner-operators and add a second technician as volume increases.

Financials

What are the ongoing fees?
Ongoing fees include a 5% royalty on gross revenue, a technology fee for your website, phone system, and POS software, and a contribution to the brand marketing fund.
When can I expect to break even?
Break-even timelines vary based on your market and effort level. We provide financial projections during the discovery process so you can make an informed decision.
Is financing available?
Freedom Tires is not a lender, but we can point you toward SBA loan resources and financing partners who are familiar with the mobile service franchise model.

Support

What training is provided?
You'll first receive access to our comprehensive video training catalog to study before arriving at headquarters. Then 10 days of intensive, hands-on training in Moscow, Idaho covering tire knowledge, equipment operation, installation procedures, TPMS service, customer service, fleet sales, business operations, and marketing. You also receive written documentation for ongoing reference.
What ongoing support do I get?
Operational support hotline, vendor relationship management, marketing templates, technology platform management, video training catalog for refreshers, and a network of fellow franchisees.
